Quick Take: Testrol Gold ES houses 19 ingredients under just 2 tablets. That’s both a problem and a gift. I mean, principally, a lot of those ingredients won’t get their fair share of milligrams but the numerous ingredients would also allow this product to tackle multiple facets of male health especially since Testrol Gold ES supplies most of them in potent qualities. With that thought established, let’s head to the review and find out how this stack can make us better men.
- A product of GAT Sport, Testrol Gold ES is one of the brand’s supplements advertised for “testosterone optimization”
- The ES part of this product’s name stands for Estrogen Support and true enough, it has a popular aromatase inhibitor in DIM
- A trio of its vitamins and minerals form a mini-stack of ZMA which adds a layer of sports-related enhancement to the formula
- Also has a heavy dose of top-shelf Tribulus Terrestris
- Unfortunately, after Tribulus Terrestris, the dosage of the other ingredients sharply decline. Their qualities are generally great though.
- Available to buy online and in retail stores including Amazon and GNC

Testrol Gold ES’ T-Boosters & Other Ingredients
Vitamin B6 – Rat research suggests lower levels of this vitamin may be correlated to lower levels of testosterone. As such, it may very well be essential to maintaining healthy levels of T and while this pyridoxine HCl form may not be the best, 10 mg is plenty.
Folic Acid (Vitamin B9) – While there have been studies linking a relationship between folic acid and testosterone, the mechanisms as to how they’re involved with each other are still unclear. Needless to say, this does hold promise but until strong evidence arrives, it’s unreliable.
Vitamin B12 – As methylcobalamin, this is the most active form of B12. Dosage is pretty good, too. As this research shows though, it improves several sperm parameters but it doesn’t have any benefits on testosterone.
Magnesium – This mineral is involved in over 300 enzymatic functions in our body so it’s really not surprising that it also has benefits for testosterone. Specifically, it blocks SHBG which then increases levels of “free” test. This oxide form is hard to absorb though but this solid 450 mg dose should help.
Zinc – Along with Magnesium, and Vitamin B6, the addition of Zinc in Testrol Gold ES completes the legendary trio known as ZMA. Zinc in itself is an essential raw material used in the production of testosterone so it’s obviously important and while this 15 mg dose is okay, sulfate is the form of Zinc responsible for its gastric side effects.
Selenium – Improves virility and promotes prostate health but it’s not really a testosterone booster.
Tribulus Terrestris – Despite its popularity in testosterone boosting products, it’s really not that much of a test booster. However, being standardized for 45% saponins at 500 mg does make it effective for increasing libido.
Diindolylmethane (DIM) – Found in cruciferous vegetables, DIM is used in testosterone and bodybuilding supplements to reduce levels of the female hormone estrogen.
L-Arginine – This amino acid increases levels of nitric oxide which then improves circulation to the entire body. It’s not really a reliable testosterone booster but the bolstered blood flow can be beneficial in bodybuilding for better muscle pumps and in the bedroom for harder erections. Most PWO’s supply way more than just 150 mg though.
Avena Sativa – Commonly found in nootropics for relaxation and improving cognition, this plant also contains L-Arginine (check ingredient above).
Mucuna Pruriens – This may be one of the most promising herbs for testosterone. In Testrol Gold ES, it’s standardized for 15% L-DOPA which is the compound that’s largely responsible for its benefits on both LH and testosterone.
Shilajit (PrimeVie®) – Used in one of the world’s oldest medical systems (Ayurveda), Shilajit influences multiple aspects of male health including testosterone, energy levels, and sperm.
Fenugreek – Widely used by men to improve libido and muscle strength, Fenugreek also has benefits on testosterone. Specifically, it’s both an aromatase and 5-alpha-reductase inhibitor that lowers levels of estrogen and DHT in favor of more “free” test.
Eurycoma Longifolia (Tongkat Ali) – Legendary for its benefits on libido and as research suggests, it may also help increase levels of testosterone and lower levels of cortisol.
Epimedium – AKA Horny Goat Weed, you can already tell what this is for just by its name. It mimics the effects of testosterone rather than boosting the actual hormone and an increased libido seems to be its main benefit.
Ginkgo Biloba – Avena Sativa and Ginkgo Biloba have a few things in common including that they’re both natural brain boosters that also improve circulation. Again, this improved blood flow can translate to both the gym and the bedroom.
Saw Palmetto – Used as a natural treatment for enlarged prostates, Saw Palmetto has fatty acids that prevent the conversion of testosterone into DHT via 5-alpha-reductase inhibition.
Damiana – This one’s pretty controversial. It possibly helps with sex drive but so far, there isn’t much evidence to support this. Furthermore, its effects on hormones is also quite conflicting. In particular, it may have anti-estrogen properties but it also has compounds that mimic the effects of the female hormone.
Cnidium monnieri – An exotic herb from Asia that doesn’t seem to have testosterone boosting properties. It may be capable of boosting libido though.
Testrol Gold ES Directions
Each serving of Testrol Gold ES is composed of two tablets and as instructed by GAT Sports, adult men are to take 2 tablets (1 serving) every day on a light/empty stomach. GAT Sports also instructs taking Testrol Gold ES on an 8 weeks on and 2 weeks off cycle.
I compare Testrol Gold ES to a supposedly fast horse that just didn’t have the stamina to finish the race. You see, just in terms of ingredients and ingredient quality, Testrol Gold ES has what it takes to be one of the better male health supplements in the market. However, its dosages begin to substantially taper down after a few ingredients and along with this goes its supposedly promising formula.
Still, the ingredients that do have solid dosages are pretty decent. In particular, it has the ZMA trio which is highly notable in sports, B Vitamins that help with energy and well-being, Selenium for virility, Tribulus Terrestris for potent improvements on libido, and DIM to lower estrogen.
Although these ingredients are undoubtedly manly, they don’t equate to massive T boosts. That said, the rest of the Testrol Gold ES formula still has the potential to positively impact a number of different aspects of male health albeit being severely limited by a general lack of dosage. These aspects include the mental, physical, sexual and of course hormonal parts of being a man.
On the topic of the effects of Testrol Gold ES on our hormones, it seems capable of lowering levels of estrogen, cortisol, DHT, and SHBG which should theoretically translate to higher levels of “free” testosterone but again (and I’ve been repeating this over and over), the dosage limits how good Testrol Gold ES can be.
Does it Work?
If you’re deficient in the either of the nutrients that make up ZMA, Testrol Gold ES should at least be capable of promoting healthy levels of testosterone. You should also feel more lively (and horny) and get better sperm thanks to the B Vitamins, Selenium, and Tribulus.
After these ingredients, Testrol Gold ES does have more to offer but honestly, it’s not much. Although likely minimal, there’s more boost to libido, energy and testosterone with the added bonus of improved circulation and prostate protection.
- Solid dosages – In particular, to the ingredients at the top of list of ingredients
- High quality – Except for the V&M’s and a few herbs, Testrol Gold ES generally supplies top-shelf ingredients
- Transparent – If anything, at least GAT Sports is honest enough to show the dosages of all its ingredients
- Safe – Zinc Sulphate may leave a metallic taste in your mouth and Fenugreek may leave you smelling like maple syrup but aside from these, there doesn’t seem to be any reports of anything major. The customer reviews I’ve read aren’t reporting any side effects either.
- Weak Dosages – After a few ingredients, the milligrams just begin to rapidly taper down
- V&M Quality – All the vitamins and minerals here could use form upgrades to improve their absorption
- Weak T boosts – I personally wouldn’t have it on my list of the best testosterone boosters but hey, at least it’s better the original Testrol fomula.
The Bottom Line
Testrol Gold ES is a supplement that would’ve made it to the upper echelon of testosterone boosters had ALL of its ingredients been given adequate dosages. Nonetheless, it still is quite decent. For mature men in particular, this could be a good choice as it seems capable of improving aspects of male health that tend to decline with old age including (but not limited to) testosterone, sperm, energy, and libido.
