Quick Take: Beware of false advertising. When a product claims a 178% boost in testosterone without any science to back that up, which is what Blue Star Nutraceuticals STATUS does, it’s best to move on to the better options. However, if you are intent on trying STATUS, I’m here to get you up to speed on this formula’s best and worst aspects with a straight-up review.
- Blue Star Nutraceuticals’ natural T-Booster that will supposedly “boost testosterone by 178%”
- Features their own proprietary “Clinically Proven” Testosterone Stack
- Includes TestoSURGE®: fenugreek seed standardized to 80% Grecunin
- Potentially well-formulated to inhibit the production of estrogen for an indirect test boost
- Proprietary blend obscures the amount of each of its main T-boosting ingredients

Blue Star Nutraceuticals STATUS label shows some good natural testosterone booster ingredients… but its proprietary blend also creates a lot of question marks.
Vitamin B6 – One of the foundation testosterone boosters; I would prefer to see it in its P-5-P form rather than the Pyridoxine HCL version, but it’s a good addition to any stack
Zinc – One of the better T-boosting ingredients out there, the dose of this is however waaay too low and Zinc Aspartate less effective (and more side effect prone) than Zinc Citrate. Still, mad props to Blue Star Nutraceuticals for including this must-have test booster in their formula.
Magnesium – Another must-have natural mineral T-booster in any stack, although I would also like to see this one in its more potent Magnesium Citrate form that more advanced testosterone supplements like to use. The dose is OK though, but just OK
TestoSURGE® – this new and proprietary substance is extracted from fenugreek seeds and is included in this formula at a decent standardization. You might get a T-boost from this, but the study conducted to support its benefits is a bit dubious. Still, Fenugreek is a powerful herb for men, including for testosterone, and I like seeing it in this formula in a premium branded form.
Longjack – Though this is a relatively effective T-booster and sex enhancer, STATUS falls short by not providing it in extract form, which is what most of the better stacks do. What you see here is actually 100x less potent than some other supplements
Chrysin – though it is intended to boost T levels, it has been shown to be very poorly absorbed by the bloodstream. I’ve ripped on chrysin as ineffective in at least one other review, and I don’t like it in here either
Saw Palmetto – This is not really a testosterone booster. However, it is a time tested natural herb that may help improve prostate health and urinary comfort in men.
Resveratrol – weak evidence claims that this chemical found in grapes inhibits the aromatase function, the enzyme responsible for turning testosterone into estrogen. It may boost growth hormone levels too, but that is also backed by early research only.
Black Pepper – This ingredient has been included in STATUS to promote nutrient absorption and burn fat… it helps other nutrients to work better
Fumarate – This chemical may also boost nutrient absorption at cellular levels
Succinate – assists fumarate (maybe) in its function and optimize its effects
About dat black pepper…
If you read my reviews, then you know I freakin’ love black pepper. Not as a spice, where I find it to be way overrated. Naw, I’m talking about black pepper that is used as a nutrient-absorption enhancer in nutraceuticals. So it is awesome to see it here in Status, BUT, here’s the rub:
- The GOOD STUFF is black pepper that is standardized to at least 95% piperine, which is the active ingredient that boosts nutrient absorption. Here in Status, we just have non-standardized black pepper with an unknown dosage. That’s not enough to move the needle for me.
The best testosterone boosters you can buy (and other supplements, really) will use standardized black pepper — preferably as BioPerine, a premium quality branded form that has been clinically researched. A phat 10 mg dose of the good stuff can naturally enhance the power of an entire T-boosting stack.
I know I am ripping on Status here, but I will give them partial credit for taking the time to at least TRY and formulate with a little mini-stack for boosting absorption. A for effort, C for execution, ya heard??
On days you work out, take 4 capsules 30 minutes before your workout. On days when you don’t work out, take the same amount on an empty stomach 30-45 minutes before you go to bed.
On first glance, Blue Star Nutraceuticals STATUS looks like a decent bet for natural male test support. Even though it’s missing some of the best test booster ingredients in their best forms, it still manages to include some of the good ones, albeit in weaker forms.
Moreover, with a prop blend that includes a “clinically proven” testosterone boosting stack, estrogen inhibitors and the so-called XD delivery technology, Blue Star Nutraceuticals has gone a long way to make this seem like an mindfully formulated and effective T-booster.
But because of this, it’s necessary to exercise a reasonable degree of suspicion. For starters, why can’t they just tell us how much of each ingredient is in the proprietary blend that constitutes the majority of this testosterone formula? For this reason alone, I give it one big thumbs down. I sure with supplements would just drop prop blends altogether.
Furthermore, the weak forms of the testosterone boosting minerals and herbs, in addition to their doses (the ones we know at least) leave something to be desired. Though I like the idea of adding an estrogen-inhibiting component to the formula, resveratrol and chrysin are a far cry from the better estrogen blockers.
On a very low-volume positive note however, I like the idea of the “XD Delivery Technology” concept, even though, because of the opacity of the proprietary blend, we don’t know how much we have of these potentially effective ingredients.
I have to point out, it is kind of cool that Status is laser focused on raising your T levels naturally. Some testosterone products try to do so many other things, ultimately failing at all of them. So for its tight focus on test, I salute Blue Star Status.
BUT, if you’re into increasing your testosterone levels for bodybuilding, muscle growth and elite physical performance, you’re probably better off looking at test booster products that are more customized for training.
Blue Star Nutraceuticals — the company that manufactures STATUS — makes some pretty dubious claims about this product. I’ll touch on two of them.
- “178% T-Boost“. Really? Where’s the science behind that massive increase in manliness?
- Secondly, a “clinically proven” test booster stack? The burden of proof lies on you, Blue Star, and you failed to meet it.
Where are the studies? Where is the real research? Quality dietary supplement manufacturers know better than to stoop to this cheesy marketing tactic.
Unless they think all of us who are looking for big testosterone boosts are dum as eff…
- Natural Ingredients – With Zinc, Magnesium, Fenugreek and Vitamin B6, its not the worst they could have done
- Targets libido – Longjack and fenugreek will probably have you ready to hop on the good foot and do the bad thing
- Smartly Formulated (Maybe?) – The anti-estrogen complex means that at least some thought was put into this
- Refund possibilities with a 60-day money back guarantee
- Fairly clean, easy-to-swallow capsules; no big chalky horse pills here
- Focused – doesn’t venture out into other areas of test support like bodybuilding & anabolic growth
- Price – This is waaaaay too expensive for what it does
- Proprietary blends – You have no idea how much of each ingredient in the blend you’re getting
- Poor forms – In the absence of standardized forms, I’d even settle for extracts, something STATUS nevertheless fails to deliver on
- Dubious – Read some of the zany, unsubstantiated claims behind STATUS, and you’ll probably lose some trust in this supplement manufacturer
Does STATUS Work?
Imma guess there’s a high probability that Blue Star Nutraceuticals formula is a FAIL for male testosterone results. It is frustrating because there are a couple of real test boosters in here… but with a bunch of them lumped into a 1,088 mg blend, I tend to think the dosage of each will be too low to increase testosterone substantially.
The X-factor is the high-quality fenugreek that they use. Fenugreek is a booster that actually works for T (even though it may diminish another manly hormone, DHT), and I like the sexy standardized branded Fenugreek in Status… but who knows how much is in there? I have to assume that, like other products that use prop blends, they are intentionally obscuring some less-than-stellar dosages.
Still, if that Fenugreek hits any kind of minimum effective dosage, you could probably expect some mild effects related to sex drive and physical performance, with a little test boost on the side.
The Bottom Line
With bogus claims and a proprietary blend that leaves you guessing, I find it difficult to give this weak formula the slightest endorsement. The one redeeming quality that saves this from the scrap pile is its potentially well-formulated and estrogen-inhibiting composition. I guess I will give partial credit for their high-quality form of the test-booster Fenugreek. Let’s hope Blue Star Nutraceuticals follows in the footsteps of Nugenix and delivers a second Testosterone-Booster that is made to work better than their first effort.
