Monster Test – Ingredients Review
Vitamin A – An antioxidant that also helps maintain healthy bones and soft tissues (e.g., muscles).
Vitamin C – This is perhaps the world’s most popular vitamin and like Vitamin A, it’s also an antioxidant. According to research, Vitamin C helps reduce the rise of cortisol after exercise. This makes it great for bodybuilding and theoretically beneficial for testosterone, too.
Why are antioxidants useful in bodybuilding?
The stressful nature of exercise creates free radicals that cause cell damage, oxidative stress, and a rise in the stress hormone cortisol. These effects are not only bad for muscle growth, they’re also a nightmare to testosterone.
Antioxidants such as Vitamin A, Vitamin C, and Zinc – also an ingredient here on Monster Test – act as our body’s defense system against these harmful free radicals. By protecting our molecules from damage, antioxidants also promote better muscle recovery and healthier test.
Vitamin B6 – Animal research suggests that Vitamin B6 depletion is linked with lower levels of testosterone. Pyridoxine isn’t this vitamin’s best form though but at this dosage, it’s more than adequate.
Magnesium – This mineral reduces oxidative stress and blocks SHBG from binding to testosterone. This results in more bioavailable test. Again, dosage is non-issue but the form could’ve been better.
Zinc – The sulfate form here in Monster Test has poor absorbabilty which may cause some minor gastric side effects. However, 15 mg is a pretty decent dose. As a testosterone booster, Zinc is perhaps the most essential mineral because it acts as a raw material for test synthesis.
- Triphala – A combination of the three fruits Amalaki, Bibhitaki, and Haritaki. It’s a natural antioxidant that also improves nutrient absorption and healthy digestion.
- Garlic – Rat research suggests that garlic alters protein anabolism by increasing testosterone. This sounds promising but honestly, it needs more solid evidence before I ride the bandwagon.
- Tribulus Terrestris – Primarily used for boosting libido but it might also help men with low levels of testosterone (i.e., men over 30 y/o). For young athletes though, it does nothing.
- Horny Goat Weed – More of a testosterone mimic than an actual testosterone booster. Boosted libido is its most prominent benefit.
- Maca – Like the previous couple of herbs, Maca isn’t necessarily a natural test booster. However, it does help increase libido.
- Rhodiola Rosea – An adaptogenic herb that helps fight fatigue and lower cortisol.
- L-Arginine – An amino acid that’s popular in bodybuilding, L-Arginine helps improve circulation by increasing nitric oxide, leading to better nutrient distribution.
- Saw Palmetto – Contains long-chain fatty acids that inhibit the activity of 5-α-reductase. This gives it the ability to boost testosterone by preventing its conversion to DHT.
- Omega 3 – Normally, Omega 6 is consumed at a much higher rate than Omega 3. This hampers production of testosterone. By consuming more Omega 3, you help your body correct the imbalance and therefore helping it produce more T.
- Tongkat Ali – Famous for boosting male libido but research shows that it’s also capable of boosting testosterone while lowering cortisol.
- D-Aspartic Acid – Research shows that DAA can boost testosterone by 42% in just 12 days. Because of this, a lot of the best testosterone supplements include this amino acid in their formula.
- Ginseng – Another adaptogenic herb that may indirectly help boost testosterone by reducing stress.
- Chrysin – Has anti-estrogen properties but because of its extremely low oral bioavailability, the only way it can be effective is by injecting it directly into our testicles. Obviously, no man wants that.
- L-Carnitine – Protects our muscles from oxidative stress. There doesn’t seem to be any research supporting its use as a testosterone booster per se but there is evidence that it increases the number of receptors available to interact with test.
- Boron – Boosts both testosterone and DHT. Furthermore, it also increases levels of magnesium and vitamin D – nutrients also found here on Monster Test.
- Indole-3-Carbinol – When it is converted into DIM during digestion, I3C helps the liver metabolize estrogen more efficiently which then decreases levels of the female hormone.
- Bulbine Natalensis – Animal research shows that it might be capable of increasing related androgens testosterone, LH, and FSH. However, there’s also evidence that points towards possible liver and kidney side effects.
- Ginkgo Biloba – Popularly used in nootropics for its benefits to circulation and memory. Subsequently, the improved blood flow might translate to better muscle pumps.
- Fenugreek – Boosts “free” testosterone by lowering estrogen and DHT. However, it’s generally used for its benefits on libido and physical performance.
- L-Citrulline – Used mostly in PWO products to boost nitric oxide leading to better blood flow. To date, I haven’t found any research correlating its effects to higher testosterone.
Monster Test Directions
Each serving of Monster Test consists of 4 tablets. As instructed by Angry Supplements, simply take 1 serving (4 tablets) in the morning with breakfast.
Let’s start with Monster Test’s vitamins and minerals. Basically, its inclusion of the individual elements of ZMA already makes it a proper testosterone booster in my book. The trio helps with testosterone and nutrition but when you factor in the antioxidant benefits of Vitamin A and C, they collectively also boost muscle recovery.
Moving on, the Monster Test prop blend is packed with 20 ingredients. Usually, most supplements would have trouble providing such a long formula the right amount of milligrams but with a total dosage of 5452 mg, the Monster Test prop blend doesn’t look like it’ll have the same problem.
Well, at least for the most part.
The downside of proprietary blends
The nature of prop blends is that the specific dosages of each individual ingredient is hidden with only the manufacturer having knowledge of this information. However, Monster Test’s MASSIVE total dosage gives me confidence that most of its ingredients are given an adequate dose. Without seeing the actual dosages though, there’s no way of knowing for sure.
Dosage aside, I think the Monster Test prop blend is filled with a solid bunch of manly ingredients. For one, I’m seeing plenty of antioxidants, adaptogens, and anti-stress herbs that go well with the V&M’s effects. There’s a group of libido and blood flow boosters here that round out the entire formula as well.
However, I do have a couple of gripes with Monster Test. First, I think it would’ve been better without questionable ingredients such as Chrysin and Bulbine Natalensis. Also, Monster Test has lack of premium ingredients. I’m not seeing any branded ingredients, standardized herbs, or enhanced-potency extracts here.
Monster Test Benefits: Does it work?
The way I see it, Monster Test works and honestly, I’m impressed. Strictly on a dosage standpoint, Monster Test has a gargantuan load of milligrams that I think is enough to supply at least a majority of its top ingredients.
When it comes to benefits, Monster Test relies heavily on antioxidants and adaptogens who protect both our muscles and testosterone from the harmful effects of free radicals. As such, I think men who are in to sports and bodybuilding can get the most out of this stack.

- Lack or premium ingredients – This probably explains why this stack is so cheap.
- Proprietary – Why supplements feel the need to hide dosages is beyond me.
The Bottom Line
Considering how cheap this is, I think Angry Supplements did a super job with Monster Test. It’s not the most powerful testosterone booster this 2018 but when if we’re talking about bang-for-buck goodness, I think it’s right up there. For frugal and athletic men looking to push their bodies even further, Monster Test is right up your alley.
