ZMA Jym VS Signature ZMA: My Analysis
First of all, both ZMA Jym and Signature ZMA are popular products sold on Bodybuilding (dot) com. As such, they’re designed to make building better physiques and attaining a higher level of physical fitness easier.
That being said, like other ZMA supplements, ZMA Jym and Signature ZMA have the same key ingredients which are zinc, magnesium, and vitamin B6. Individually, these three nutrients are great testosterone boosters. However, when taken together, they become a legendary trio that’s great for a hardworking athlete’s performance, recovery, and growth.
As a matter of fact, one research cited boosts in levels of anabolic hormones (“free” testosterone, IGF-1) and muscle strength in trained competitive athletes with ZMA supplementation. Moreover, ZMA also seems to help a lot of men and women sleep better which I think is likely because of magnesium’s relaxing properties.
A key factor of ZMA’s effectiveness, however, is that the athlete has to have inadequate nutrition. Having said that, 61% of adults in the US aren’t getting the required amount of magnesium per day. Plus, if you live a physically active lifestyle, the 3 nutrients seep out of your body through sweat. So, the way I see it, there’s a pretty high chance that you DO need ZMA.
On that note, what makes ZMA Jym and Signature ZMA special? And how are they different?
Signature ZMA uses the same exact forms and dosages of zinc (monomethionine and aspartate), magnesium (aspartate), and vitamin B6 (pyridoxine hydrochloride) used in the research showing positive effects on testosterone, IGF-1, and muscle strength — nothing more, nothing less. Overall, ZMA Jym and Signature ZMA are great for athletes looking to improve the results of their training.
However, all things considered, ZMA Jym is the superior testosterone booster thanks to its enhanced absorption. That being said, this also makes it a little bit more expensive.
Now, if you’re in a bit of a budget and you’ve no problems absorbing nutrients, Signature ZMA should work just fine.
