The name of this product is clever and one that will certainly grab attention. But does it deliver on its promise to support muscle gain and help you gain more energy and vitality? At $17 for a one month supply, it’s certainly affordable and worth checking into.
Viewing the product information page for Wrecking Balls by Vigor Labs, they make a wealth of claims, but nearly every single one is followed by an asterisk and any time there’s an asterisk, it’s worth checking out. According to Vigor Labs, Wrecking Balls should provide the following benefits:
- Gain muscle (asterisk)
- Get quick results (asterisk)
- Support a healthy, normal libido (asterisk, and by the way … what’s ‘normal?’)
- Get more energy and vitality (asterisk)
- “Results you can feel” (asterisk)
Let’s take a closer look at some of these claims.
The List of Ingredients in Wrecking Balls
The following ingredients make up the significant part of the Wrecking Balls formula:
- Tribulus terrestris
- Longjack extract
- Saw palmetto
- Wild yam
- Dodder extract
- Rice flour
- Magnesium stearate
- Silicon dioxide
Many of these ingredients are also available in other testosterone boosters, but not in this combination. Tribulus terrestris is the main ingredient that is responsible for helping the body to produce more testosterone.
So what about those claims? Most men look for testosterone boosters because they want to gain muscle. They know that more testosterone actually increases the rate at which their muscles grow, and that’s true, but it’s important that the free testosterone that is produced in the body isn’t converted into estrogen (a natural process). If this happens, then the increased estrogen levels in the body actually interfere with muscle growth.
Quick results. Most of us would love faster results from the workouts we are taking part in, but rarely do we actually get those quick results. According to Vigor Labs, fast results were noted in laboratory animals.
Support a healthy, normal libido. What is normal for one man may be less than ideal for another. It’s always a red flag when a company uses terminology like this to help promote their products.
Get more energy and vitality. Again, this is another empty promise. Get more energy compared to what? Testosterone increases in the body actually boosts energy levels naturally. Even if you don’t notice any muscle gains, you’ll likely feel more energized as a result of taking this supplement and that can actually lead to more muscle gains because you’ll be pushing through the tough portions of your workouts more effectively.
“Results you can feel.” This is one of the best so far. This is apparently meant to imply that you’ll feel stronger and more energetic, but ‘feeling’ is not a measurable quantity, therefore it’s a meaningless statement.
There was a lot of potential with regard to Wrecking Balls, but they fall somewhat short. While you may actually experience a boost in testosterone, unless you also take a supplement that inhibits the conversion of the male hormone into estrogen or DHT (dihydrotestosterone), then you are not likely to see any visible improvements. You may have more energy and a boost in your sex drive, and for the price, that’s not too bad.
