Signature Testosterone Booster VS Signature ZMA: My Analysis
Both Signature Testosterone Booster and Signature ZMA come from the same company – Bodybuilding[.]com. As you might have already deduced, both these products are also made to help men (and women) like us achieve the bodies of our dreams.
However, they do approach muscle growth from different angles. Regardless of their differences though, they do have a couple of the same weapons. To be more specific, they both have Zinc and Magnesium. To better understand how both these stacks work, let’s start by defining what these two do.
How do Zinc and Magnesium help with fitness and testosterone?
Zinc – As a heavily concentrated mineral found in both the testes and the prostate, Zinc is clearly an important element for maintaining male health. Apart from being directly involved in testosterone synthesis, Zinc also helps keep your T levels high after exercise which, according to research, may lead to improved athletic performance.
Magnesium – Among Magnesium’s many involvements in the body, perhaps its most suitable benefit for testosterone supplements is its ability to weaken the bond between T and SHBG which then results in more bioavailable testosterone. Furthermore, Magnesium also helps fine-tune the anabolic process and relaxes the muscles to help promote sleep.
FYI, both Zinc and Magnesium have numerous other benefits but for testosterone boosters and bodybuilding supplements, I think the effects I just stated are the most notable ones.
That being said, it’s time to dig deeper and find out how Signature Testosterone Booster VS Signature ZMA use these manly nutrients along with the rest of the ingredients in their respective formulas.
Signature Testosterone Booster relies mostly on Calcium, Ashwagandha, and Fenugreek while Zinc and Magnesium take a back seat
The Signature Testosterone Booster formula has 3 minerals overall: Calcium, Magnesium, and Zinc. According to research, Calcium supplementation “may be useful for increasing overall athletic performance” because it amplifies the testosterone boosts that come with exercise.
Unfortunately though, Calcium is also the only one here that gets a solid dose while Zinc and Magnesium are looking severely anemic. This means that Calcium is also the only one that’s likely to work. To me, this is regrettable because Zn and Mg could’ve made Signature Testosterone Booster better.
Also, Calcium also interrupts the absorption of Zinc which further aggravates the latter mineral’s already sad circumstance.
Moving on, Signature Testosterone Booster also has Ashwagandha and Fenugreek in its formula. With potent qualities and dosages of 600 mg each, these herbs are perhaps this stack’s main ingredients. Together, they lower catabolic hormones such as cortisol and estrogen while also bolstering libido, muscle performance, and of course, testosterone.
Signature ZMA uses the scientifically proven trio of Zinc, Magnesium, and Vitamin B6
ZMA literally means Zinc, Magnesium, and Vitamin B6. This particular trio was first marketed by Victor Conte and his company (BALCO Labs) back in 19992. Over the years, many other manufacturers tweaked this formula and essentially made their own versions – for better or for worse.
On the other hand, Signature ZMA chose to emulate the original and used the exact same combinations, forms, and dosages. In a way, this is a good thing because the ancestral form of ZMA has been proven to boost the testosterone and physical attributes of athletes who lacked Zinc and/or Magnesium in their diets. Plus, it can help you sleep better.
However, Signature ZMA’s contentment to simply “resurrect” a historical formula also has its downsides. For instance, all three nutrients (Zinc, Magnesium, and Vitamin B6) could’ve been more efficiently absorbed with some form adjustments. Moreover, other ingredients could’ve been added to further enhance this stack’s benefits.
Nonetheless, Signature ZMA is a nighttime testosterone booster that, like its predecessor, does its magic through nutritional support, T boosts, performance enhancements, and of course, better ZZZ’s so you feel fresh and ready to train even harder the next day.

Conclusion: Which is Better?
To me, they’re not among the best testosterone supplements in the market but for what it’s worth, they’re both pretty decent. On that note, Signature Testosterone Booster VS Signature ZMA was honestly a tough one to judge but, in my opinion, the former nudges out its opponent by just a hair’s width.
Signature Testosterone Booster has premium forms and effective dosages of great natural testosterone boosters Fenugreek and Ashwagandha. Together with Calcium’s amplification of exercise-induced T boosts, I believe these three give Signature Testosterone Booster the edge when it comes to being an athlete-centered testosterone booster.
On the contrary, Signature ZMA may essentially be a copy but it’s one that’s scientifically proven. Compared to most other ZMA supplements who have “modernized” their formulas, however, this one just feels incomplete.
