Quick Take: Nugenix is an excellent brand supplying a handful of high quality testosterone boosting supplements and among its best are Nugenix Maxx and Nugenix Ultimate. One of these, however, is more popular while the other isn’t even in Nugenix’s website (yet) because it’s the brand’s newest product. Another difference is that the other focuses more on “free” testosterone while the other has balls-out focus on boosting overall T. Their similarity? Both are damn good at what they do. Let’s see who wins today’s versus review.
Nugenix Maxx Features
- Labeled as an “ultra-premium free testosterone booster”
- In the same “ultra-premium” context, the Nugenix Maxx formula supplies all 12 of its ingredients in top-shelf, expensive forms
- Kicks off its formula with Zinc and Vitamin D – two of the most critical nutrients to healthy levels of testosterone
- The above ingredients are then followed by a bunch of “free” testosterone boosters, adaptogens, and libido/performance enhancing herbs
- Nugenix’s newest addition to their line of solid testosterone boosters

Nugenix Ultimate Features
- Advertised to be an “advanced free testosterone complex” but really, it packs a mean punch of overall T boosting as well
- An 8-ingredient stack of mostly herbal man-enhancing nutrients
- Primarily fueled by a heavy 3,000 mg dose powerful DAA
- Also has Boron and Mucuna Pruriens, two of my personal favorite T boosters, supplied in potent forms and adequate dosages
- An updated and better version of Nugenix’s old testosterone booster

Nugenix Maxx VS. Nugenix Ultimate: My Analysis
Both of these supplements are quite well-rounded and honestly, among the best testosterone boosting products currently out on the market. However, despite being manufactured by the same company, I feel like the differences between Nugenix Maxx and Nugenix Ultimate are suited for different demographics. For better comparison, let me give you a short summary of what each stack brings to the table.
NUGENIX MAXX BOOSTS “FREE” TESTOSTERONE AS WELL AS SEPARATE ENHANCEMENTS TO LIBIDO AND MUSCLE
In terms of boosting overall test, Nugenix Maxx starts off its formula with Zinc and Vitamin D which may be two of the most crucial nutrients to healthy testosterone. However, Nugenix Maxx only gives vitamin D a weak dose of 20 mcg so overall, there’s really not much total test boosting that goes around in this formula.
When it comes to boosting “free” testosterone and maintaining already sufficient levels of T though, Nugenix Maxx hits it right on the money. With potent and branded ingredients that help prevent the conversion of testosterone to either estrogen and/or DHT as well as blocking the bind between test and SHBG, Nugenix Maxx is capable of elevating levels of bioavailable testosterone.
This rise in “free” testosterone, however, can still be disrupted by the mental and physical stress that comes from living an active lifestyle. To help counter these, Nugenix Maxx has plenty of adaptogens as well as individual ingredients that either boost libido and physical performance, making it an ideal stack for young (and horny) bodybuilding and sports enthusiasts.
NUGENIX ULTIMATE IS A SIMPLE STACK OF 8 INGREDIENTS THAT’S TAILOR MADE FOR OPTIMIZING TESTOSTERONE PRODUCTION
With the first ingredient, DAA, capable of boosting testosterone by 42% in just 12 days, one can already foretell a powerful punch of T boosting, especially when it comes at this heavy 3,000 mg dose. Aside from DAA though, Nugenix Ultimate also has other ingredients that’re effective testosterone boosters such as Boron and Mucuna Pruriens.
The ingredients mentioned above attack testosterone boosting via different pathways and, to me, are largely what makes Nugenix Ultimate such an effective formula. Other ingredients such as Tongkat Ali, Fenugreek, and Nettle also help round-out the testosterone boosts by making sure your T stays bioavailable.
With boosts in total and ready-to-use testosterone along with herbs for physical performance and sex drive, I say Nugenix Ultimate is about as close as you can get to a complete man-enhancing package. Because of this, I think Nugenix Ultimate fits a more mature demographic by enabling them to still keep up with their younger peers in the gym, the women, and in everyday life.
Conclusion: Which is Better?
They’re both effective at what they aim to accomplish but if I were to pick a more well-rounded formula, I’d say Nugenix Ultimate is the better supplement.
The way I see it, Nugenix Ultimate is truly Nugenix’s ultimate testosterone booster. With just 8 potent and adequately dosed ingredients, it manages to do what many others with longer formulas fail to do which is effectively influence separate aspects of a man’s general well-being. It’s cheaper than Nugenix Maxx, too. For a more balanced approach to testosterone boosting, choose Nugenix Ultimate.
Although, Nugenix Maxx is also a great T booster in its own right. One of the better ones, if I might add. Compared to Nugenix Ultimate though, it focuses more on sustaining high levels of “free” testosterone and countering the emasculating effects of stress. If you’re an active young male with extra cash to shell out, choose Nugenix Maxx.
